Asetek has heard you: Base + QR bundles available!

Since our test of the La Prima base followed by the Asetek Quick Release, many of you have told us that you’d like to have an Asetek base Quick Release bundle. I myself was very surprised that the brand didn’t offer it! After all, not everyone wants a Formula-style steering wheel. Nor does everyone want to use the Asetek steering wheel, which has a design that doesn’t appeal to everyone. So, Danes? What’s our answer to that?

Three new Asetek bundles

“I understand you”. That’s certainly what André Eriksen (CEO of Asetek) had to say in his office. The brand is pleased to finally offer QR Base bundles for its three Direct Drive base ranges.

This should satisfy quite a few people who wanted to switch to a La Prima base! You’re now free to plug in just about anything 🙂

The field of possibilities!

As a reminder, Asetek Quick Releases allow you to install the steering wheel wheels of a large number of steering wheel manufacturers. 11 brands are already partners, with more to follow. You install the QR behind the wheel (6x70mm center distance), plug the wheel’s USB directly into the QR and voilà!

The QR will make the link between your terse wheel and the Asetek base. Power supply and data exchange are direct, including for LED displays and integrated screens. In short, a big step towards more open ecosystems and greater ease of hardware use.

So here’s some good news: these Asetek bundles finally answer what our readers and viewers have been asking for for over a month! And as you can see, the more the merrier. So well done to all 🙂
