the new French simracing brand, RevoSim by Nacon, which you were able to discover at BigBen Week last May, is finally ready to show the first images and technical specifications of its very first simracing products. On the program: a Direct Drive base, a Load Cell pedalboard and a Hub/steering wheel. But that’s not all. Even though RevoSim has not yet released its first products, it is already teasing out new ones to come in 2025. I was able to test their equipment twice last April and May, and now I can tell you all about it!

Design and ergonomics
We begin our discovery of the RevoSim ecosystem with the heart of the rig: the Direct Drive rig. From the outset, it’s easy to see where the inspiration comes from. The aluminum case recalls the design of the Fanatec CSL DD/GT DD Pro with its heat-dissipating vents, but in a more (r)refined version.
The inspiration doesn’t stop there, either, as the chassis-mounted installation system is also taken from Fanatec models. The reason? Quite simply, it’s the quickest and most practical system to date. You have rails under the base and on its sides, into which T-bolts are inserted.
But then RevoSim got caught up in an interesting burst of inspiration. Their idea? Put an additional rail on top of the base, into which a phone holder is slid as standard. I find the idea original, especially as the brand has also developed a mobile application so you can use your phone as a dashboard. Of course, you’ll tell me that this can also be done with SimHub. Granted, but at least for our novice gamer friends, they’ve thought of a “plug and play” solution.

The mechanics have not been rushed through
Under the hood, there was a lot of work to be done. Rather than settling for a low-cost motor ordered in a hurry, or simply copying and pasting a competitor’s architecture, RevoSim has its own Brushless Servo Motor. Having already had it in my hands on several occasions, I’ve noticed that it holds its own in terms of responsiveness, precision and fluidity. It remains to be seen what improvements will have been made to the software control when the final model is tested, as this is what the team was still working on at the time of my last rides.
As for the encoder, I’m waiting for confirmation before knowing whether I’m entitled to give a precise figure. But you should know that RevoSim originally intended to use a resulution equivalent to its competitors, before finally switching to a larger model, which gave them a noticeable improvement in precision.
And finally, on the front, you’ll notice an NRG-type Quick Release. The inspiration here comes from Simagic, whose system is both simple to use and robust.
When it comes to software, RevoSim understands how it’s supposed to work
Dedicated, clear software that sticks to 2024 standards and lets you set everything up quickly. That’s it! I’ll tell you more about it when I get the software home, of course. An app is also available for on-the-fly adjustments on smartphones.
The RevoSim Hub/Flyer in detail
Let’s continue now with their first round steering wheel. Or should I say, their Hub equipped with a round hoop. Because yes, it’s actually a Hub on which you can install at least one other Formula-type hoop.
Round hoop diameter | 30cm |
Materials | Aluminum, plastic |
Grips | Imitation leather |
Vibrations | No |
Paddles | 2 shift paddles (non-magnetic) |
Noise when using paddles | NC |
Customizable buttons | 12 buttons with customizable inserts, 1 2-position encoder, 1 7-position switch |
LED display | Lap-count LEDs, 4 LEDs display selected mode |
Display | No |
Quick Release | NRG-type Quick Release |
Base compatibility | RevoSim |
There’s nothing really special about the wheel, except that it’s a hub on which you can fit a 30cm round wheel or a Formula wheel. This will enable us to offer a slightly richer range from the outset, and then rapidly develop other steering wheels that will arrive later. I’m not telling you anything, but expect a Formula wheel 😉
The RevoSim Load Cell pedalset in detail
Materials | Aluminum, plastic |
Pedals | 2 pedals (clutch option coming soon) |
Gas pedal | Spring-loaded Magnetic Hall sensor NC resolution |
Brake | Movement with interchangeable elastomers Load Cell 100Kg |
Vibration | No |
Connection | Rj11 to base or USB to PC |
And finally, the pedalboard. A point of honor has been made to place it a good notch above the competition at the same price. I’ll let you see the details:
Pads directly inspired by what we’ve seen on real GTs, a 100Kg Load Cell, interchangeable rubber as standard (and an optional extra kit). But it’s the settings that Revosim has really worked on. With this pedalset, you’ll have plenty of scope for fine-tuning your riding position. A clutch pedal will soon be added to complete the beast. “We can also expect to see a shifter and handbrake in 2025.
Fanatec in your sights
So, shall we conclude? As you may have noticed, RevoSim is tackling a very specific market: the consumer Direct Drive segment. This segment, largely dominated by Fanatec since 2021 and the arrival of the CSL DD/GT DD Pro, had not yet seen the emergence of a competitor capable of competing on both the PC and console markets. RevoSim aims to be the first competitor who has not only pushed all the cursors a notch higher, but also already has numerous console-licensed products, while also having an incredibly developed and powerful worldwide distribution network.
