Logitech finally unveils new sim racing products for its Direct Drive G Pro Wheel, bringing accessories and a new collaboration with Momo. So, after the announcement at Logi Play 2024 and the first reviews on the U.S. market, let’s take a look at these new products.
Logitech RS Wheels
Logitech unveils two new steering wheels for its Direct Drive G Pro Wheel to enhance its automotive simulation ecosystem. Enthusiasts who have fallen in love with their model will now be able to switch to the Logitech G RS Round Wheel, a round wheel with a 29.1 cm diameter, or the Logitech G RS Track Wheel, a GT3 or formula-style wheel, also with the same diameter. Priced at €79.99, these new wheels finally bring something new to the sim racing experience offered by Logitech.
Renewal of the Momo / Logitech partnership
For those who find (like Sam) that the brand’s designs lack a racing edge that reeks of gasoline, Logitech unveils a new partnership with Italian manufacturer Momo. The new SIM GT 320 rims are round and 32cm in diameter, while the SIM GT-Racer 290 is an open D-shape and 29cm in diameter. Their grips are made of microfibre (imitation alcantara) for a more authentic feel, although you should be aware that this type of coating wears over time.
These hoops will be available from January 2025 normally at a price of 199€, and will therefore offer a more “premium” option for sim racing enthusiasts looking for an immersive and realistic experience.
The new Logitech RS Wheel Hub
The Logitech RS Wheel Hub is another welcome addition to the Logitech universe. It’s a hub with a 6x70mm center distance, but since buttons are placed on its side arms, and the central faceplate is hollowed out to accommodate “official” rims, you won’t be able to fit just any rim on the market.
- Features: 12 programmable buttons, 2 rotary encoders, 1 pad, 2 paddles.
- Extended console compatibility: Allows users of the PlayStation version of the PRO Racing Wheel to extend their compatibility to Xbox (and PC) by adding the RS Wheel Hub for Xbox.
- Price: €139.99 for the PC version, €149.99 for the XBox version.
Quick Release Logitech G RS QR Adapter
And to finally satisfy sim racing enthusiasts who want to connect other brands’ steering wheels to their base, Logitech has unveiled the G RS QR Adapter. Equipped with 70mm and 50.8mm centers, it allows you to install all third-party steering wheels with detachable QR.
Priced at just €69.99, it’s a great value for money. So it’s an affordable solution for Direct Drive Logitech owners who want to expand their choice of steering wheels.
Logitech RS shifter and handbrake
Logitech presents the new RS Shifter & Handbrake, a two-in-one device offering car simulation enthusiasts the ability to use both a sequential shifter and a handbrake with a simple gesture. With a height-adjustable handle, table clamp and 20-degree range of motion in handbrake mode, this versatile lever features a double-stage spring for a realistic feel. Compatible with the PRO Racing Wheel as well as older hardware via the Logitech Racing Console Adapter, this new piece of equipment will delight drif fans, for example, but for the moment we deplore the absence of a new H-shifter.
