All our simracing reviews
To make your search easier, you’ll find all the SimRacing equipment we’ve written about. All sorted by brand. In these articles, you’ll find “Test” articles, “Discovery” articles, and “Announcement” articles. What is the difference between them?
Discoveries are articles written before the product’s official release or before we’ve had a chance to do a full test. Test articles” are complete tests (logical, isn’t it?) that Flo and I have carried out on the equipment. And finally, the “announcements” articles are press releases on forthcoming new products. Asetek SimSports: Excellence Made in Denmark
In just two years, Asetek Simsports has succeeded in creating products that rival the best sim-racing brands on the market. Their cranksets have become indispensable, and their Direct Drive chainstays are among the most powerful and precise available today.
Simagic: the art of value for money
This little-known brand produces top-of-the-range equipment at mid-range prices. Their steering wheels all feature incredible finishes. Quite simply, once you’ve had a Simagic in your hands, most other brands feel like a toy.
Moza Racing: China’s low-cost challenger
This Chinese brand is attacking the market with a determination to bring down prices at all costs. They are successful with entry-level models despite uneven finishes and products that have not been thought through.
Thrustmaster: the French giant a little behind the times
The French company Thrustmaster has long reigned supreme in the world of simulators thanks to its console compatibility and partnership with Gran Turismo. In 2021, however, they fell flat on their face with the “great Direct Drive revolution”, and are now paying for their lack of initiative.
Logitech: when Switzerland gets involved
The must-have brand in the entry-level SimRacing market. Dated steering wheels with legendary robustness. Their arrival in Direct Drive was not unanimously acclaimed due to a non-existent ecosystem and a price tag that was too high in the face of aggressive, higher-quality competition.
Various other models!
Here are some other models we’ve written about over the years.
