Which simulation steering wheel should you choose for less than €350?

If you’re new to the world of simracing, or if you’d like to give a loved one their first steering wheel, making the right choice can be a real headache. Let’s take stock together. And to find out which simulation steering wheel to choose for a budget of less than 350€.

Before getting to the heart of the matter, let me make one thing clear. In this price range, you can choose between entry-level and mid-range wheels. In any case, I’ve personally tested the simulation wheels I’m about to present to you. My aim is to give you an unbiased opinion so that you can make the best choice.

Having said that, let’s get down to business and find the perfect wheel for you 🙂

Which PS4 – PS5 steering wheel to choose at under 350€?

If you or your loved one play mainly on the Playstation console, there are 4 steering wheel models to choose from. Thrustmaster has the T150 Pro, the T248 and the T300RS. At Logitech , it’s the G29 that will hold our attention.

I’m going to present them to you in ascending order of price, giving you their pros and cons.

Logitech G29

Best seller from the Logitech brand, the G29 is a good simulation wheel to get started with. It comes with a 3-pedal crankset and the sensations it provides are quality without being exceptional. Its main fault in my eyes remains its brake pedal which is anything but natural.
Compatible with PS4 – PC

Thrustmaster T150 Pro

The T150 Pro is an entry-level steering wheel but it has the advantage of being delivered with a 3-pedal pedal set (T3PA). Practical if you plan to use it with a gearbox. However, this is not the one I recommend in this budget. The quality of force feedback (the sensations transmitted by the steering wheel) are far from being the best in this range.
Compatible with PS4 – PS5 – PC

Thrustmaster T300RS

The T300RS is a sure value. Highly appreciated by the community, it is reliable, provides good sensations and can be customized by changing the steering wheel in a few moments. His fault? A 2 pedal crankset only for the basic version. There is a T300RS GT version with a third pedal but that would be outside the budget.
Compatible with PS4 – PS5 – PC

Thrustmaster T248 best of his rank

The latest from the Thrustmaster brand offers good force feedback, a good quality 3-pedal pedal set and an OLED screen to display the vehicle speed or steering wheel settings. Its only flaw is that its steering wheel is not interchangeable.
Compatible with PS4 – PS5 – PC

On the Sony console, the two wisest choices are the Thrustmaster T300RS and T248. If you (or your loved one) want to upgrade your equipment in the future, the T300RS will be more suitable. But if not, then the T248 is the best choice today.

Which X Box Series steering wheel to choose for less than 350€?

Thrustmaster TMX Pro

The TMX Pro is the equivalent of the T150. It is an entry-level steering wheel which does not stand out for the sensations it provides but which has the advantage of offering a 3-pedal pedal board. This is not the one I recommend in this price range. The force feedback is far from the best in its range.
Compatible with X Box – PC

Logitech G920 best of his rank

The G920 is the equivalent of the G29. It is a shuttlecock appreciated by new players for its versatility and design. The sensations are above those of TMX. The only downside is a brake pedal that feels unnatural…
Compatible with X Box – PC

With a budget of €350 on X Box, the obvious choice is the Logitech G920! It’s clearly a step above the TMX Pro in terms of feel, and its design is, let’s face it, more polished.

Which PC steering wheel to choose at under €350

For PC gamers, you have the choice between all the Playstation and X Box compatible models we’ve seen together. Which one should you choose? Here’s the simulation steering wheel I’d recommend for the budget we’ve set ourselves:

Thrustmaster T300RS Best of his rank

The T300RS is a sure value. Highly appreciated by the community, it is reliable, provides good sensations and can be customized by changing the steering wheel in a few moments. Despite its 2 pedals, it is my favorite in the PC category thanks to the multiple customizations that you can make over time.
Compatible with PS4 – PS5 – PC

So, which simulation steering wheel have you chosen?
